What does a week in Compass actually look like?

On average, two live 90-minute Zoom sessions a week, both at 10:30am — one focused on market training, and every Friday at the same time, a dedicated peer group coaching session to discuss progress and share what others are learning. Between sessions, you'll have reflective exercises to complete at your own pace. Offline events run separately as an optional bonus, mainly in Zurich and Geneva — attendance isn't required if the logistics don't work for you.

What language is Compass delivered in?

English. Compass is built for international participants — from Switzerland and elsewhere — so fluency in English is required to take part fully in live sessions and group coaching.

What if I can't make a live session?

Sessions are recorded and shared with your cohort, so a missed session doesn't mean missing the content — though the live exchange in group coaching is where a lot of the real value happens, so it's worth prioritising Fridays where you can. WhatsApp community chat will be available for your cohort to exchange regularly and to ask all necessary questions.

Who are the participants, and how are applicants selected?

Cohorts bring together experienced international professionals, managers and executives — across different industries, functions and nationalities — navigating redundancy, relocation, industry transition or professional reinvention. Selection is about balance and fit for that specific group, not a title or credential threshold: we're looking for genuine professional experience and a clear enough sense of what you're navigating to both benefit from, and contribute to, the cohort.

Is Compass relevant if I'm considering consulting, entrepreneurship or a new industry?

Yes. Compass deliberately explores paths beyond reproducing your last role — permanent employment, industry change, consulting, project work, entrepreneurship, or a mix of several.

Is financial support available if CHF 700 isn't accessible right now?

Yes. Bevel ON is our independent Swiss social-impact association, set up so career reinvention isn't gated by ability to pay. Subsidised places are assessed individually — based on your current financial situation and disposable income — and can cover part or all of the CHF 700, depending on eligibility. Requests are handled privately and separately from your programme application; reach out to impact@bevelon.ch before you apply so we can talk it through and let you know what's possible for this cohort.

How can I be reimbursed if I'm unable to attend?

If you'd like to cancel the programme, you must do so no later than 7 calendar days before it starts. Please note that we will only issue a full refund for the cancellation requests received more than 7 calendar days prior to the programme start date. Web site transaction fee might be applied.

Will my current employer know I've applied?

No — applications are reviewed privately, and we never contact employers or disclose participation. The one exception: if you're leaving your role and your company offers an outplacement package that could fund your seat, we're glad to help coordinate that directly — email us at impact@bevel.world

Is Compass only relevant for the Swiss job market?

No — the strategy, positioning and market-reading skills apply to any country's job market. That said, since Bevel is Swiss-based, we'll often reference the Swiss market specifically in examples and discussion, and offline events are organised here in Switzerland.

I navigated my own transition while building Bevel — from corporate executive to entrepreneur, trainer and eventually employer myself. In 2022 that work expanded to displaced Ukrainian professionals, then expatriated spouses, then executives discovering that a strong career behind them didn't automatically open the next door.

Experienced professionals don't need someone to tell them how to find a job. They need current perspective, intelligent peers, and a structure that keeps them moving.
